  • Grid resolution for drag particles

Another question for my freezing effect...
Since I decided I want to only use the drag particles from my smoke simulation, I´m wondering:

I remember from using the phoenix force operator, that I don´t need a super high grid resolution for that.
What about drag particles? Can I get away with a lower grid resolution and still get detailed veolcity fields for the drag particles?
I´m guessing yes and I´m also guessing, that its might still be a problem with the voxelisation of the emitter object from which the drag particles are emitted (texture mapped as well)...am I correct?

Jep, looks good so far, don´t see any problems yet...lets see after rendering...

Indeed - voxelization of texture mapped emitters could be a trouble spot because a single voxel will use just a single value from the texture.

Nope, at least in this case I can get away with much lower grid resolution and it still looks fine. I´ll post an update soon...
