  • How do I prevent the simulator grid from moving slower than the simulated object?

    Hey, folks!

So, I know this is probably a SUPER basic question, but I'm struggling a bit with figuring out how to keep a simulated object from outrunning the simulation grid. So, I'm trying to simulate a fireball and while it's not moving extremely quickly, at some point in the animation, it ends up moving faster than the simulation grid can keep up with it, and so remains unsimulated for the remainder of the shot. Is there any way to prevent this from happening, perchance?

Thank you for your time and have a nice day! Cheers!

    Hey,

So if the simulation can't keep up you can increase the steps per frame in the Dynamics rollout. If it's the adaptive grid that can't keep up - you can increase the Extra Margin from the Grid rollout.
