  • OceanTex with a demo build: still possible?

    Hi,
I'll soon need to render some ocean with 3DS Max, an installation without PhoenixFD. Years ago I downloaded a demo build of PhoenixFD to have the PhoenixFDOceanTex available on a smilar installation.
Today, I can't find a demo build, nor a recent mentioning of it. How does this work today, is there still a limited version available for download somewhere?

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hey,

Nowadays you just go here and click TRY on the upper right: https://www.chaosgroup.com/phoenix-fd/3ds-max

You download an installation and it would run in TRIAL mode for 30 days - without any limitations on the software, it just expires after 30 days.

    Cheers!

What happens after 30 days, will the OceanTex map not work anymore or just the simulation side of Phoenix?

Rendering Phoenix data does not need a Phoenix license, so you would be good even after the 30 days. You would only need to have Phoenix installed.

I also highly recommend going through this page - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...+in+a+Nutshell
