Ocean Tex on system without PhoenixFD

Hi all

A client has sent us a scene that has an ocean tex node.

We don't have Phoenix FD in the office. Is it possible to use the node without Phoenix?

For example, if we were to create a folder structure in Program Files and put a file in there.

Hey, negative - you gotta have Phoenix installed. For textures, it won't engage a license, but without Phoenix, Max wouldn't know what to do with these textures.

Is there any way we can get Phoenix in the office without buying it? I know that sounds dodgy but I mean legally...

As I'm tying this I'm chucking to myself because it's a stupid question.

If I install a trial on each office pc? Then after the trial runs out, we could still use the ocean tex if needed and can render with it.

I'm trying to think of a way around this.

Yes, the trial would work for the textures even without a license
