  • Possible to drive Opacity (if object is solid) by texture?

    Hi,
I am wondering, if I could drive by a texture, where an Object is solid and where it is non-solid in interaction with fluids?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Can you give us a bit more info on what exactly are you trying to achieve?

    Thanks!

An object going through liquid or smoke as an (invisible) collider. But if it is completely solid, it would be very strong.
So the question is, if it's possible to adjust how strong it influences the fluid (= driving the collision property by texture).

Example: If you have a fishing net moved through water, it is only half solid...

      Thanks

I'm afraid this is not possible at the moment.
Using the Motion Velocity option in the Phoenix Properties you can lower or increase the impact over the fluid but it will be uniform. So you will have to use real geometry for now.

I will log your suggestion as a feature request in our system.

        Thank you,
