  • Possible to create new voxels from existing voxels? (the opposite from dissipation)

    Hello,

maybe an unusual question, but in some situations smoke or clouds were getting to thin after some simulation time.
Is there a setting, that lets existing smoke generate a bit more of itself (spawn)? (if you restore from a frame, where it is too thin)

    And similar question:
What exactly happens, when 2 different fluids (for example 2 openVDB or 2 simulations) do intersect? Are they adding?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Maybe you can use a Phoenix 4 Voxel Tuner and add smoke where it becomes too thin. It's never a bad idea to isolate the cause of the dissipation in the first place though, can you show how it looks?

I presume you mean what happens when rendering overlapping containers, not when simulating overlapping simulators? You can say it gets added, though it's not that simple, but the result should look correctly. Any issues there?

    Cheers!

Thanks Svetlin, I will test the voxel tuner (always good to learn something new).

Both just two long-term questions in my head from different situations that come from time to time.
This answered already my questions, so I will put it on my "testing todo"-list
