  • Confining turbulence force to a specific area... how would you go about it?

I'm trying to simulate a very turbulent liquid inside a pipe that once it comes into contact with another liquid it "calms down" and flows better.

How would you go about achieving this?

Is there a way to tell the simulation to only apply turbulence to a specific area within the simulation, and still allow it to flow outside this specific area?

Attaching an example of what I'm looking for

    Thanks in advance!

Hey, yes indeed - this is a new change that was not in the official 4.20 yet, but it's in the nightly builds - now you can use the Particle or Voxel Tuners to confine a force only inside (or near) a certain geometry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJEqnygpUqo
