  • Random pixels in my Foam/Splash

I often have these dots in my sea or water renders. I think it is splash or foam but can someone tell me how to not have them so spread out all over the screen or more unified in a splash look than broken pixels. What do you guys think affects this? Thank you very much

    Hey,

These dots are splash or foam particles indeed. As foam and splashes have different settings you first need to find out which particle system needs tweaking.
The easiest way to do that is to select the Particle Shaders in your scene and disable the "Rendereble" checkbox from the Object properties right-click menu.

Then enable the Particle Shaders one by one and make some test renders - this way you will see if the foam or splash particles are at fault.

Playing around with the birth threshold will determine where the foam/splashes will be born.

For the splashes you can try to increase the Liquid-Like option - you can find more about it here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ist-Properties

For the foam you can try to increase the b2b interaction and play around with the rising speed - you can find more about these options here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...dFoam-Dynamics

As a general guideline the scene scale and the steps per frame will affect how your particles will behave. So you can try to play around with these parameters as well.

    Hope this helps!
