Hi I'm trying to use Phoenix FD in Maya, but it is giving this error,

// Error: V-Ray: ERROR: Could not create plugin PhoenixFDSim! //

    and

// Warning: V-Ray : Unable to create Phoenix FD Particle Shader plugin

Do you know what it can be?

    my setup:
    Maya 2019 WIN
    Vray 5
    PhoenixFD 4

    Hey,

    Sounds like a bad Install.

Are you 200% sure that you have installed Phoenix for V-Ray 5? There are separate installers for V-Ray Next and V-Ray 5.

    Cheers!

Hey, sounds correct. Can you tell me the exact nightly number? It's a 5-digit number at the end of the archive - for example today's nightlies are 30441.

Also, can you tell me the exact V-Ray 5 version you installed, so I can try to break it here?

        Cheers!

Alrighty, so it was a break in the V-Ray 5 SDK. The V-Ray guys will take care of it, and since you might not have access to the latest V-Ray nightly, you can workaround it by getting an older Phoenix nightly - these ones should work okay: https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...ghtly/20201110

              Thanks for the report!

Hmmm, there is an option in V-Ray called 'Consistent lighting elements' (https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...lobal+Switches) - can you see if turning it off helps?

Why is this "TILE" marked the size of the bucket in lightMIX?

                        Hey,

Thanks for the report I have reproduced it in here as well.

If you disable the Volume Light cache checkbox in the Smoke color rollout it should render correctly.
