  • Is motion blur supported with phornix fd liquid when rendered on Vray GPU?

I have a scene that renders 10x faster on GPU but the motion blur is missing on the phoenix fd liquid simulation. On the CPU it works, but not on GPU.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Can you tell us which Phoenix FD build are you using? The information could be found in the Simulation rollout -> About.
Also, can you tell us which V-Ray version you have installed? You can find the V-Ray version in the Render settings window → Settings tab → About V-Ray rollout.

It will be very helpful if you send us a scene that we could use to reproduce the problem.

    Thank you!

        Hey,

Could you try installing the latest Phoenix FD 3.14 Nightly - https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...x3max/20201021.
        And the latest V-Ray 4.30 Nightly - https://nightlies.chaosgroup.com/mai...ghtly/20201124.

It's important to mention that we currently don't support Motion Blur for the Particle Shader when rendering with V-Ray GPU.

        Hope this helps!

I remember moblur is finally there, but I can't seem to have any sort of it on GPU with phx.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

            Hey Paul,

We will need more info for that. Do you mean liquids or fire/smoke? Which build are you using?
Can you send over a simple scene, reproducing the issue?

            Thanks!
