  • Liquid passing through solid mesh

Having trouble fixing this. The liquid simulates fine pouring from the bottle but when it pools around the edge near the liquid inside the bottle, the liquid meshes together through the solid object. There is no animation in the scene besides the liquid itself. I've tried several cell sizes and SPFs but nothing seems to make a difference.

    Hey,

If your bottle geometry is good (no open edges, no overlapping faces), looks like you need more grid resolution, the other option would be to make the bottle thicker.

    Cheers!

looks like a mesher issue, it's not the simulation

Yup, this is most likely not a simulation issue.

blkmxma , you can verify this if you turn off Show Mesh in the Preview rollout and enable Particle Preview. If the particles are not passing through the glass, then it's a mesher issue.

In this case, try the following: Re-enable Show Mesh, go to the Rendering rollout, find the Mesh Smoothing group and set Smoothness to 1. Then enable Use Liquid Particles and adjust the Particle Size - try lower values and see if this looks better. One more thing you can try is to increase the Isosurface Level from 0.5 to a higher value.

        Cheers!
