Fluid Sim Stopping by itself

Hi.

I've been noticing an issue where my sim is stopping by itself.

I thought it must have been me going crazy but it's not. It was just simming but it stopped when I selected the fluid container to see how long each frame is taking. I've noticed it a few other times without doing this too.

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Doesn't ring any bells. Could it be that you're pressing escape? By default pressing the Esc button will stop the simulation. In the top 3ds Max PhoenixFD menu (if you're using an older Phoenix build it is in the Simulaton rollout of the Simulator) there is Phoenix preferences dialog where you can disable this setting. Hi.

No, not pressing Esc. I know you can use Esc to stop sims but I never really touch it.

It's odd. It's done it a couple of times today and I've noticed it happen here and there other times using phoenix

It's as if it's doing it when switching between max and something else - or selecting the fluid in the scene. Any kind of interruption in the simulation process

It's not really a detectable bug - there are no crashes etc so finding the cause I assume would be impossible

Can you send the Phoenix log, maybe it will tell us what's going on?

Where can I find that? Does it update constantly? If so, next time I notice the sim has stopped I'll send it then
