  • PhoenixFD for 3DS Max 2022?

With the 3DS Max 2022 rollout and a new version of Vray in tandem, I wonder when PhoenixFD for 3DS Max 2022 will be released. It's strange modelling in 3DS Max 2022 and then simulating in 3DS Max 2021.

Will there also be a version for 2022 and vray4? I have not seen one in the current nightlies. That would be great, thanks!

Hey, there were no plans yet, you are the first person to ask. Will take a note and see if I can smuggle this task in the plans.

        Cheers!

Did this ever happen with Phoenix FD for 3ds Max 2022? I am locked into 3ds max 2022 with no way to install 2021. I have v-ray next and phoenix fd 4.

            Sorry, I don't think so. There isn't a version for 2022 with V-Ray 4 support ultimately...

Thank you. I am confused because the Chaos Ai support bot said this:
"Good news! Phoenix FD 4.40.00 and later versions do support 3ds Max 2022. According to the documentation, Phoenix FD 4.40.00 specifically added support for 3ds Max 2022, though initially with some temporary limitations for GPU preview and velocity streamline preview Phoenix FD 4.40.00. These limitations were addressed in Phoenix FD 4.41.00, which enabled the GPU Preview for 3ds Max 2022"

I'd rather never ask AI about facts... It's hallucinating.

LOL. On the Chaos site when you click contact support it automatically generates an AI answer to your submission first, and then asks if you still need more support.

Yeah... If someone thought they would save money by implementing such a system, they will find out the hard way how they will lose more money in the long run.
