Phoenix for Apple Silicon macs

Are there any plans to develop Phoenix for Mac? Specifically for the new Apple Silicon machines? Looking at benchmark comparisons and even the current m1 is rivalling or beating high end x86 cpus in single core performance, they seem like perfect affordable devices to be running Phoenix sims

Hey,

As always, we won't say yes or no to anything until it's done. Porting all our code just for the performance gain to ARM is not feasible at all because there is so much we've been doing lately to speed up Phoenix and it requires so much less effort. This way you would not have to resort to hardware updates, but will just grab a new Phoenix update and get a speedup. I'm not out of ideas yet for CPU optimizations, BUT there are other reasons why both porting to Mac and to ARM is a good idea, so maybe we will have something to show in the future.

Thanks Svetlin. Yeah I wasn't suggesting purely for the potential speedup but also for the convenience of mac users having access. Have often wondered why Vray is available for Mac but not Phoenix
