  • Subframe smoke issues

I have a moving object that is releasing smoke over small period of time. The problem is that the smoke emits per frame and you can see gaps between the emissions. Is there any way to increase sub-frames so that there is a continuous stream of emission?

    Hey,

How about if you increase the Steps per frame in the Dynamics rollout?

Hi. I tried increasing the steps per frame in Transport (advection) and although the simulation looked better it didn't resolve the gaps between emission frames.

Can you show us how it looks and the settings you're using?

The capsule separates over 5 frames which I realise isn't a large amount of time but it's causing issues like gaps in the smoke emission.

How about if you set the steps per frame to 10 for example or even higher? Looks like the capsule is moving way too fast.

I think that's working. 6 subframes wasn't enough but 10 seems good. Thank you
