Hi Guys,
Working here with Maya and PhoenixFD 4.41.00
I'd really like to get your insight for this simulation I have to achieve. I hope it's possible.
I need to simulate a water spray on a surface.
It was pretty hard to find a good enough reference. I cannot share the reference I have. I found this photo that illustrates a bit my issue.
The water spray I have needs to be at higher velocity (more concentrated jet of water). So far so good. I have a jet of water, creating splashes and mist.
Now, my problem is with the water behavior on the surface. So far, the water splashes quickly away from the surface. I basically need to have the water splashing, but also forming small drops that will follow the surface and drop down.
As far as I understood, liquid will form splashes and mist, and splashes & mist can be transferred again into water. Is that right ?
I wonder what conditions I need to have to see mist creating drops on the surface.
I have already pretty high SPF (12), and I'm trying now Time Scale and Scene Scale. I have wetting and a little bit Sticky Liquid (0.1). I'm working in cm with a pretty high grid 0.15 cm
So far, I don't have the feeling I can get mist being converted to liquid and to have water "sticking" a bit to the surface. I am certainly missing something somewhere :/
Here is also a video reference of the drops: https://videohive.net/item/water-dro...lass-1/7033976
Another reference: https://videohive.net/item/jet-of-wa...-lamp/12537812
cheers,
Olivier
