  • How to deal with double Particle objects (and some with different names)

1.) I wonder how to deal with these Particles of Foam Mist and Splashes, which are doubled.
Especially when I import from another test scene a simulator with emitter, I'm not sure, if the objects have different names.

Is it enough, that these objects were once (regardless how they were named) in a scene?

Can I delete some of them?

2.) I have activated and reactivated Splashes and Foam of the imported simulator, and it after checking again splashes and foam creates again a shader.
But it did not create again a MIST shader.
So after importing I wasn't able to render Mist again....
How to create a Mist shader?

    Thanks

    Hey, check this page: https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...le+System+node

I hope the particle system nodes will make more sense after reading through.

When you import a Simulator with Particle Shaders from another scene, make sure to import all the particle system nodes as well, as they are the connection between the Simulator and the Particle Shaders. Deleting any particle system nodes can only break things.

    Cheers!

But if the particle objects have the same name like those from another simulator in the scene, where they get imported, what to do then?
      Can they get renamed?
      Thanks

If you import objects with the same name Max will ask you if you wish to rename them, there is even an option to rename the nodes automatically.
As long as you import the particle system nodes along with the Particle shader nodes, they will remember the connection between them and should render properly.
