  • Possible to select a selection set (of objects) as emitters?

    Hello,
I remember from Maya, that a selection set can be used as emitters (a collection of objects).

This is useful because only one mesh can be selected as a birth volume for foam.
Which makes it a bit hard, forcing to combine meshes and they can't get individual modifiers anymore.

Is there in Max the same feature for Phoenix?
Otherwise it would be suggestion as a new helper object...

    Thanks!

    Hello again,

I’m afraid that currently we only support a single object with Birth Volumes, so for now the workaround would be to merge the objects together as one, as you mentioned.

That said, we will look into this and see what we can do, and get back to you here if we think this is something we can support!

      Thanks for reply
Would be also helpful for the particle tuner (to have more than one object added)

        Hello again,

Just to clarify, do you mean for picking multiple objects using the "Distance To" parameter?

Currently, you can create more than one condition that uses the "Distance To" parameter, and so you could pick different objects for each.

Is there a specific workflow you're thinking about that the current Particle Tuner options do not work well for? Feel free to share any specific examples you have in mind. Thanks!
