  • How to make texture work in the volumetric render settings?

Hello guys, I plugged a gradient to here, hoping that it would allow me to easily change the look of this vdb grid, but no matter what I do, it doesn't work. I also tried "modulate" option, still no luck.

I've seen tutorials using other technique to change the RGB value of grid cells or particles using particle shader. Is that what I need to do? If so, what's the purpose of the texture option here? How to make it work?

I thought adjusting textures here would save lots of time without resimulating and generating RGB data. So if it works here, that will be really nice!

    Thank you so much!!!

Ah, could it be that you need to set your texture to Object XYZ space?

Just updated the docs - added a new page:
          https://docs.chaos.com/pages/viewpag...ageId=79501047 for Maya
          https://docs.chaos.com/pages/viewpag...ageId=79501045 for 3ds Max

...and the places that use textures link to it. Hope the information there makes sense and thank you for pointing out this issue!
