  • Ocean Sim Issue

    Hi there,

Trying to get this to look better and work a few issues out. I've got an test object rising out of an ocean sim.
Not sure what's happening with the waves but it's almost like a shockwave/ripple effect from the liquid that looks like flickering. Rendering with Corona. Scene is in M and object is quite large 70m or so.

Also, would decreasing the droplet radius help with the scene scale or am I better off reducing the cell size/increasing resolution?

    Thanks

    Hey,

Seems like your simulator box is quite large and although the grid res is high, you will need more grid resolution.

My guess is that the grid resolution should help with the flickering of the liquid mesh, but here are a few more tips - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...+and+Smoothing

As for the droplet radius option, this will take effect only if you use surface tension. You can find more about how it works here - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...SurfaceTension
In your case you should be able to get away without surface tension for this shot, so no need to use it.

    Cheers!
