  • Export pheonix sim in Max to Maya?

    Hi there,

I have a phoenix sim in Max 2022 and would like to export it over to Maya 2022 with full functionality so i can continue tweaking the settings (dynamics) in Maya. Both have Vray 6 and Phoenix installed. Is this possible?

    Thanks

    Hey,

You can currently use File -> Send to -> Send to Maya -> Send as New Scene. This will port all the scene elements into a new Maya scene with their exact positions, and from there you will need to manually adjust all the settings.
Porting scenes between different hosts is on our to-do list, so I'll add another vote for that in our system.

    Hope this helps!

Hi slavina.nikolova, Thank you for your response. When I try that function, only 3 objects transfer over, the rest are locators and empty groups. Below is the outlier from Max and Maya after Send to Maya as New Scene is used.

Yes, the idea of Send to is to transfer the geometries, but currently you need to create all Phoenix objects.
