  • mirrorlike liquid after splash

    Hi,
is there a way to return to a mirrorlike surface of the liquid after a disturbance? Even after hundreds of frames there is still noise.
The only way I managed was using a loop, but that was not very smooth.
    Thank you for any hint.

Unfortunately it would be hard. If you turn off Show Mesh in the Preview rollout and turn on the particle preview, you would notice the liquid particles are ordered in a grid in the beginning, but once the simulation is stirred up, they remain in chaos for a long time. You could use more steps per frame, higher scene scale, or you could add Drag force or viscosity to slow the particles down, but the surface of the liquid would likely remain noisy still. In this case, you could also use render-time smoothing: https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...+and+Smoothing

    Cheers!
