  • Phoenix FD Smoke Color, which is the recommended way to change it?

Hello, Newbie Phoenix FD user here. Trying to read up documentation on to how to adjust smoke color nicely. Getting pretty confused on what is the best way to change a smoke colors naturally. Any help is gladly appreciated!

    Hey,

If you go in the Rendering rollout of the Phoenix simulator > Volumetric options > Smoke color - you can simply pick a color from the Constant color option and that's it.

By default the smoke color is Based on the Constant color option - this means that the smoke color will be the same for the entire volume and will be taken from the Constant Color box.

If you change the Based on option to Smoke - the smoke color will be based on the values of the Smoke cache channel - this way you can use the color gradient to set different color for the parts with less smoke and another color with the parts with more smoke.

For more details on the color options you can check our docs page here - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...lor-Parameters
