Here are some grabs to show it as it is currently.
You'll see in the side view, with velocity preview on, that when it starts it has that shape which is undesired, as it shoots out further than needed.
However, this is where the sticky helps, as further on as it resolves it sticks to the wall and slides down as in the vid.
I've added a plain force with drag set 0.5, though I haven't tested this yet, so whether it does what I want (to slow the surface down sufficiently) remains to be seen.
The liquid source is default apart from velocity, which is set to 1.0cm and emits from the blue poly you can see at the bottom of the pool.
