  • Calm water spots on Phoenix ocean mesh

    Hi everyone!
    I'm really cousious on how to get this effect of calm water spots in the ocean mesh. It looks very realistic but I can't find any setup or command to achieve that.

    Maybe try to control the scale displacement in the ocean texture map. I tested it real quick to give an example thats pretty noticeable, but I think learning how to control the noise and mapping, you can probably get that effect using this method. Its the closest thing to a vray blend I found that will break up the ocean texture into some other patterns.

      Hey,

      Just published a template scene of how this works. It's using the exact method Swihartc​ mentioned in his post - a regular Noise texture inside of the Ocean texture Displacement Scaling slot.
