  • Turn animated mesh into liquid

    Hey Guys

I am wanting to make a hand animated wave, then turn it into liquid with foam etc. If you watch the link below they hand animate a wave, then at 4:06 it turns into a Phoenix liquid. Is this possible? Could anyone recommend the steps they would take?

Just want to check my plan before purchasing a license.

    Thanks Ben

Honestly it seems like an overly complex way of doing it, as it could be simply done with an animated cylinder far quicker.

Anyway it's simple enough and is just an emitter with filled up liquid, using the geometry to push and agitate the particles.
If it's 'only' this one sim you need, then maybe you don't even need Phoenix, as something like this shows https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmCfv3bd7FU

        Hello,

Phoenix has a Body Force node that can attract and contain fluids inside an animated object. As always, just make sure that the object has no errors and/or open edges.
The liquid will stay within the volume of the animated mesh and you can lower the force strength at any time to release it.
