  • Simulating Wet Powder?

Hello, I am trying to simulate a wet powder in a blending process. So it will interact like a viscous crumbly liquid or wet sand. After a while, the moisture evaporates and turns into a powder.
What would be the best way to simulate this. I would go with a viscous liquid? Or is it the wrong way?

I have only a picture of it. It shows a blending pot with this powder. The surface is very special, its very fine material. I will first try to simulate this.

For this case I would try using Houdini Vellum Grains or particles. I think it will be very hard to somehow achieve this powder behavior with fluids. You need this clumpy and sticky behavior, otherwise it will not feel "powder like"

The look you want looks like snow a bit:

And you need a lot of voxels

Indeed, I'm afraid this result is not something you can do with Phoenix at the moment.

Thank you very much, the example with houdini looks perfect for this project. I already thought it wouldn't be easy, i hope that the hardware can handle this.
