    Thanks,

    That's a problem. I can't share models neither renderings.

Actually the hull model for the simulation is made by me, because the CAD models are far from being watertight. I just wrap geometry around the CAD-model (the one I use in renderings) and make the seams watertight. I can ask if I can share this Dummy hull.

From what I understand your problem is not with the hull model rendering, but with the rest of the scene - maybe you can remove the cad model and send us only the rest of the scene?

I have sent the Phoenix model containing animated dummy model of the hull to Chaos support.

It seems I'm getting two new boat projects, so I'm returning to this. So the thing is, that after upgrading to V-Ray 6, I can't get nice foam renderings anymore. Are there updated boat wake tutorials for the new renderers?

Can you show us how it looks now? The foam rendering should be just as good in V-Ray 6 as it was before.

Just a suggestion that worked for me...
Try lighting the water and foam with the hdri only. In other words add the water and foam shaders to the sun exclude list. Use the sun with low settings to add some ambient and shadow detail to the boat model only.
