  • Phoenix2.dlr Failed to initialize

    Hello All,

This is my first post so I apologize that it's with a problem. I hope to post some work down the road.

When I start up max (2011 64bit) I receive the following error.

Name:	Phoenix_Error.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	55.9 KB
ID:	873140

1.2 worked perfectly but something is up with the Phoenix2.dlr.

I have updated the WibuKey and uninstalled and re-installed the Beta plugin on my workstation and server twice; both receive the same error.

I checked to see if anyone else had this issue but couldn't find it. It's very likely I missed a step or something

    Is VRay installed ?
Are the paths in plugin.ini in the correct order? The installers sometimes mix them up.

    Regards,
    Thorsten

I have Vray 2.0 installed. It all works correctly in max. I am able to use max normally. Phoenix is just not available in the drop-downs.

I'm not really sure about the order of the paths. I honestly have no clue what to look for when it comes to that. I'm a click 'next' and install kind of guy lol.

I am having the exact same problem. The build I installed was downloaded yesterday.

this problem is caused by the use of a functionality that was introduced in the last vray release (from may, it allows the plugins to use the progress bar). just update the vray and everything will be fine. i promise this will be fixed in the official release, but for now phoenix needs the last official vray to work.
