Is it possible to output the Preview-Window with some Alpha for quick evaluation?

Btw, weirdly somehow the preview has more definition and detail than the rendered window. I would understand the other way around, but this way?

in maya the preview is exported with alpha, in max has no alpha. this feature was introduced few days before the release, and it was too risky to change the shader to export alpha, because there was no time for testing.
