  • Phoenix FD for 3ds max 2.0 updates/upgrade questions...

We are looking at possibly upgrading our 1.2 licenses to the 2.x release, but I was wondering what the current release version is for 3ds max. Is it still 2.00.00, or have there been some update releases? Also, will the 3ds max release of 2.x be feature leveled with that of the Maya release? It appears based on the listed features that the Maya release has all (of at least the major features) of the features of the 3ds max 2.x release plus resimulation and vrayRT support. Will those features be held off for a future major release of Phoenix FD for 3ds max or provided as an update to existing 2.x users?

    Thanks,
    -Eric

    It is still 2.0.

    Yes.

Resimulation will be added, yes. V-Ray RT support depends on V-Ray itself rather than on Phoenix and this will be added too.

    Best regards,

Is there any ETA on the time frame for when those updates may be coming to 3ds max release?

can't promise nothing, but let say in 6 months
the next release for 3d max will be not just to equalize with the maya version, but we have plans to make it easier to work with.
