    I must admit i skipped quite a few updates of PhoenixFD so the following points might be completely obsolete.
    Every time in the past when i tried something out with Phoenix, especially Water sims it seamd a little unstable to me. You had to cheat a lot to get the result you want like giving your scene an unrealistic scale or counter animating Parameters. That kinda always killed the fun of working with it.

      Hi there

      First of all i didn't read the whole Thread. Important for me would be a Friction for Objects Parameter. Floating of Objects (Object Dynamics) More Viscosity... not stopping by 1.

        currently viscosity 1 is almost solid state, but if you have no wetting enabled or the physical effect of the wetting is disabled, the behavior in some cases may be mistaken as not enough viscosity, for example when a source is directed against a wall.
        about the per object friction, well, there is really no per object parameter, but there is per object wetting check box, you can enable or disable the wetting and in some cases this can be used as friction control
