  • Is there any way to "kill" fluid?

I'm pouring liquid from a bottle, after stopping my emitter there is still some liquid left in the neck of the bottle.
But as the shot progresses the bottle must no longer be in shot, I have tried animating it out, but then the liquid just breaks through, plus it is probably to quick a move anyway.
I would use a render gizmo, but there are small drops that still fall from the bottle which i would like to kill as well.

    Any help thanks.

animated brush source is the easiest way. make an invisible box, make it a brush source with liquid=0, just before to remove the bottle activate the source for a while (animate the discharge to 100) and it will clear the liquid.

Thanks for the quick response, Ivaylo.
      Worked perfectly.
Don't know when you guys get time to do any work with the excellent response time on the forums.

      Thanks

        Ivo,
I have a similar question. I am doing a water fountain and I want the sim to run for about 600 frames but I dont want it to fill the container over time.
Can I do a similar thing as you suggest above?

better create negative sources, the trick above directly removes the liquid, and perhaps this will be visible.
just create a box, and make it a source with negative discharge.

              Hey Ivaylo

Is there any way to kill foam in the same sort of way.

              Thanks

Thanks, that would be a handy feature. But for now I have just trapped the dregs in the bottle.
