    Hello,

I also have an issue with the infinite ocean surface. (I use the official 2.1.1. built, so maybe this problem is already solved in the nightles.)
In the viewport the ocean is shown correctly while the rendering shows only kind of a cropped part of the ocean surface.
Simulation and re-sim of liquid + collision, splashes & foam worked perfectly but when I activate the ocean option it gets weird.
The funny thing is, I used it before in another scene and it worked without any trouble.

    Since Ivaylo wrote
...the mesher takes the camera parameters and builds "infinite" surface only in the visible area
I put a camera in the scene (I had rendered from perspective viewport) but it didn't help.
Also uncheck / check the ocean option did nothing (this was helpful for adjusting the OceanTex since it's not updating automatically)

Actually I'm a little concerned to install the nightlies since I would need to install it on all renderblades right?
Any forecasts when the official version is released?

    thx & Chaosgroup FTW!

this is because the default geometry is dynamic, make it static (vray properties of the simulator). in the nightlies when you enabe the ocean rendering mode it suggests to switch it automatically.

        Ok thanks. Now it works.

I have to admit I haven't used this option before.
Also couldn't find anything about it in the help index.
There's only an entry for the object properties for V-Ray 1.5.
