  • wet Sand

    Hi there,

we tried to make two liquids with high viscosity, that are poured ontop of each other (like discussed in this thread http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...high-viscosity).

It turns out the visualized products are not real liquids but act more like wet sand.

I think the dynamics could be similar to the liquids with high viscosity but I have problems shading it.

Could someone give me a hint? Could I use drag particles and actually render them or is it better to use a material that looks like sand (how would I achieve that??)?

Any tips will be highly appreciated.

never tried to render sand, but vote for drag particles.
if you make a material that looks like sand, how will make its texture to follow the liquid? actually you can use the drag particles but not to render them directly, just to use them to move the texture with the liquid, using the particle texture.
