  • motionblur in animation problem

I try to render an animation of liquid with motionblur, but only one node is rendering the motionblur, although all rendernodes are the same.
I generally not get it how the motionblur works best on foam and splashes.
some step by step instruction would be nice, maybe I missed an option.

    phoenix 2.2 and vray 3.1

    thanks in advance.

    best regards

can you find which node exactly is it ? is it the workstation?
would be better if you send us the scene.

      exact guessing.
the workstation I send the networkjob (backburner) is rendering with motionblur, but all nodes (also BB, not distributed) are rendering no motionblur...
I send the scene, to where? I don't want to post it here.

        edit:
well, i suppose i know the reason, in the official release the foam shader is limited to 10 000 particles, but the point mode motion blur works by increasing the particle count, this limitation was removed because the rendering must work without license (we have no render licenses) so just download nightly build and this will be ok.

hm. good point, but I think I have used the nightly build... I try the point mode then, if I get troubles I send the scene.

well, perhaps i'm wrong and not this is the reason, send us the scene if the problem is not solved by nightly , and tell us if the same happens with the vray dr mechanism.

I also have a motion blur issue, but not on net render, even locally some frames aren't rendering motion blur... the velocity is in the output, do i need to output speed too?

Sorry, my mistake, I did a resimulation with the Temporary Channels on velocity, seems to work if I put none...

Yup, these are the channels that will not be exported to the resimulation caches, we renamed them to "No-Export channels" in the nightly builds.

If you are a customer and have an urgent issue with the official build, that is fixed in the nightlies, you can contact support@chaosgroup.com for permissions.
