  • Floodshower Stream

    Good Morning!

I need support with creating a shower stream just like these:

It looks simple, but I don't get it to work.

    Thank you in advance!

Any reason you would want it simulated. Why not just model it and have animated noise create the movement?

      The idea is not bad.

If this should not work with Phoenix FD, I will try to do so.

I would have preferred, however, to achieve this result with the product I purchased.

Well, looking the images i suppose your resolution wasn't big enough. The flat stream seems to be really thin and you need at least 3-4 cells width to avoid the grid artifacts.
i did a small scene that shows the way, try to tweak it and ask if some troubles arise.

          Thank you, Ivaylo!

          That looks good!

On more question: Would it make sense to try an animated real-looking splash onto a shower area with phoenix fd? Or would phoenix strike on limits here?

i think it can be done, however i suppose you will get grid artifacts at some point, when the water splits to droplets. if you have time for experiments, you can ask the support for nightly build access and use the particle based solver, it have better chances in this situation.

                  Thanks, Ivaylo.

Maybe I will give this nighty build experiments a try soon
