  • Installing Phoenix to an arbitrary location (on network -- for render farm) possible?

I really like how Vray has the ability to be installed in a shared folder for render farm servers. Can the same thing be done with Phoenix? I assume so -- but I would need to know the variables that need to be set.

(This is the link to the Vray instructions -- http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/V...trary+location -- in case anyone doesn't know about them.)

Well, me have rendering part. Everything works nice and smooth. Linux one.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I think for Phoenix it's just a matter of adding the path to the Phoenix FD plugins in the plugin.ini file, as described on the V-Ray page, and make sure the license is set up (Phoenix and V-Ray use the same license file).

        Best regards,
