Nope, soon there will be a build of the latest official Phoenix 2.2 from May 2014, compatible with max 2016 and vray 3.2, but with the old functionality of the official Phoenix.

If you have access to the nightlies, I'd recommend you use them.

I've just checked and I don't have access to nightly for phoenix.
Is nightly ready for production ? I'm preparing deploying 2016 ...

Well, the nightlies have the latest features, but are more unstable on the other hand. If you don't need any new features or fixes or don't want to risk with an unstable build, you could wait out the 2.2 build for max 2016, hopefully it will be ready in a few days. otherwise you can request nightly access from the Support team.

            Hello,

Could you please contact me at

svetlin dot nikolov at chaosgroup dot com

and I will provide you with the download location for the max 2016 demo and ADV versions.

Just let me mention again - these are build with the codebase from May 2014, when Phoenix FD 2.2 was released. They are only made compatible with V-Ray 3.20 and 3ds max 2016.

I am also waiting for PhoenixFD for Max2016. As I understand it is possible to get a version of PhoenixFD for max2016 that is 100% similar to the may 2014 build (no new features)? And this version is just as stable as the official download for max <=2015?

Affirmative - it's just a repack. Any new features, fixes etc, that were made after May 2014 will be going in the brand new official version which is under development at the moment.

Awesome . I was starting to be afraid that you had stopped developement or something ... I don`t quite see why you don`t make an official build for Max2016 with the same features as the may2014 build in the meantime. Instead of handing out nightlies by request I mean. But I guess you`ve got your reasons .

Yep, there were some licensing issues and this is why the build is not on the chaosgroup site yet.

I must underline that this build for max 2016 is not a nightly build - the nightlies contain all the latest beta features and fixes, but might not be very stable, while the max 2016 build is a stable version without any additions that you can use if you're happy with the same version for older maxes. The nightly builds have a 2016 version as well, so if one has a licensed Phoenix, he could take the chance and request access from the support team.

We just bought Phoenix today only to find out that its not available for MAX 2016 which is a show stopper for us.

We bought it for a project we have a strict deadline on.
Can i please request access to the version which supports MAX 2016?
We have the Phoenix on the latest dongle starting 13...

PLease! We cand afford to buy Fume becaus we already invested into Phoenix because of this project,
Thanks a lot for the reply and access

                          Hello,

Here is my email once again:

svetlin dot nikolov at chaosgroup dot com

Please drop me a message and I will provide you the download links.

Note that we're talking about just a repack of the official Phoenix 2.2 from may 2014 with no new features since then. This is not a nightly build.

In case you have a task that requires a nightly with the new and experimental features and you are willing to take a risk with it, you have to contact the support for permissions.

I'd like to ask everyone to check this post on the first page of this topic before we enter an endless cycle
