  • strange behavior

    hi there

I have installed a nightly build (don't know from when) and now I have some strange behavior in max 2016 with new scenes... http://c2n.me/3nBt34b.png
it always make a phoenix folder in the same directory where I save my scene. is this right or some bug?

    thanks

    best regards

    Hello,

Phoenix always creates a folder with the max file name with _Phoenix2_frames at the end, where the cache files are saved by default.

    Check this article: http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/P...pathsofPhoenix

i suppose you mean even when the output path is set somewhere else, well, this is because every time you start render/sim phoenix keeps the settings of the phoenix related objects in a log file, that may be used if you decide that your xxx result was better, but can't remember what settings you had for it. really the path does not follow the output path, we have to fix this

yes I know, BUT I have NO PHOENIX in these scenes! I have not wrote this understandable, sorry.
It makes such folders always if i save a scene, no matter if there is phoenix used or not.. still correct?

Ah I just noticed that our work drive has a lot of phoenix folders... good to know it is fixed! Slightly on the same lines but when setting the output path/file Phoenix used to set the frame padding for you (####.aur).

It doesn't anymore... it isn't a big thing but would be nice to have it back
