  • Post Processing (like FumeFX) for cache optimization

    Hi,

Is there any feature in PhoenixFD that I can "Post Processing" (like FumeFX) channel data in the cache that no longer useful? For example remove Speed, Velocity data in the cache.

    thanks in advanced,

I think you can do it with the resimulation. There is a No-Export section. I assume if you set the amp to 0 it will just re-export with those conditions... this is theory! I shall try it my self!

    * Just tried, appears to work... simmed with temp/smoke/velocity/wavelet/rgb and then re-simmed (grid resimulation checked) with amp resolution set to 0 and No-Export channels set to RGB/Wavelet/Velocity. It reports only temp/smoke in the newly created cache files.

I am asking this because I believe this can save some rendering time.
