  • FOam with Corona ?

    Hello,

I'm trying to render some phoenix FD liquid + foam with Corona.

To make the liquid renderable with Corona, i need to setup the Rendering simulation mode to mesh . it's not seems to work with implicit surface.

But i can't find how to render the foam !
It's working fine with Vray but not with corona. nothing appears in the render .

So, there is a way to render foam with Corona or other renderer than Vray ?

    thanks for your help .

the renderer must support atmospherics, otherwise you can't render foam. according the corona's changelog, the atmospheres should be supported since July 29, 2015, are you up to date?

looks like i'm not the only one that whant phoenix fd foam working with corona and it's seems to not work right now.
No issue from phoenix fd, but something not done at this time from the Corona side.

So, there is a way to create a nice passes for compositing foam rendered with Vray ? ( inside and outside liquid )

I'm trying with a glass that have Matte for reflection and refraction, looks a good start point.
            any advices ?

              Hey,

Last time I checked several months ago, Corona was implementing about just half of the standard 3ds max rendering notifications, and we need more than that to be able to work correctly.

Regarding passes - what you need is the Subgroup of the PHXFoam - you can split the rendering into a pass for sub-liquid particles, then for the ones above the surface. For MultiMatte you need to change PHXFoam to 'Geometry Mode'.

              Cheers!
