  • Step artifacts in liquid

    1. Seems like old phoenix had better looking liquid or maybe I am doing something wrong. Two attached images show spinning device that spills liquids. And the one that has blue liquid has steps/breaks in liquid. Why is this. Pink liquid was does with old phoenix it did take 11 hours compared to new one just 40 min but it has no steps! Can this be fixed?

    2. And liquid does not stick to moving objects anymore even with wetting and sticky set to 1. We use octane to render so we need actual 3d mesh to stick to objects. Is it possible anymore?

    3. Also toolbar has just question marks

    Thank you

just increase the spf, each step the source produces certain amount of liquid, each segment represents exactly the liquid made in single step, increase the spf about 5-10 times and you will have flat stream

That's the completely rebuilt liquid solver of Phoenix. While version 2.2 used a modified version of the smoke/fire solver, now the FLIP solver is dedicated especially to liquids and resolves some nasty issues that could not be worked around with the grid solver. It's on by default in the LiquidSim object.
