  • Flushing a toilet or box...

    Hi! I'm not sure how to achieve this, I have a particle system I filled up with a liquid source, and now I have to let the liquid go like through a hole in the bottom, I'm clueless of how to do this, is it even possible? Do I have to make a real bowl to contain the liquid and then open a a hole at the bottom to let the liquid escape? It think so right? becuase there is no way yo use the "fill up" function and then let the liquid go right?

    Sounds good enough - the closer the mechanics are to the real thing, the better.

      is it possible to use initial fill up to fill up a geometry ?

        Yup, just note that it would fill up the inner volume of the geometry as opposed to filling up e.g. a bowl-shaped geometry half full. You would have to create a shape that fits the liquid volume you need to fill.

          when you use brush to fill geometry how do you get it to settle down at smaller world units ? sometimes it just explodes after creation. setting the unit scale bigger(eg. cm to meters) can help but that`s not really consistent with the scale of objects i have. the point being the closer to real scale the better, yet trying that it`s not working.

          on a side note in your tutorials i notice that your scene scales vary a bit. sometimes meters, sometimes cm but 1 unit = 20cm etc. whats the difference using scale multipliers rather than just building the scene smaller/bigger instead of the unit change ?

            It doesn't matter what units you are displaying it - it only matters that the size of the container is equal to the real world size of the effect - you can check that in the Simulation panel. Additionally, if you don't want to re-scale anything in your scene, you could adjust the Scene Scale in the Dynamics panel. If it does explode, than the scale is too small. By changing from cm to meters you are scaling it 100 times, which is way too much. You better use the Scene Scale option for finer adjustment.
