how would you setup this in PHX? http://c2n.me/3BjlOIK.png

would you simulate is as liquid or smoke?
I need some help for this and some great ideas!

    thanks in advance.
maybe a test scene would be fantastic for the start.
    I work with max btw.

perhaps liquid, with air simulation enabled and big splash/mist amount.
after the liquid leaves the nozzle it will be turned quickly into mist, that can be rendered with the point shader.
smoke is not a good idea, because the final mist is still visible as small droplets.
the only part that worries me is that you need some kind of evaporation of the mist

you could render a separate mask out. Have a cylinder surrounding the effect with a gradient on.. fade it off in comp and fake the evapouration :P

        I get some results... http://c2n.me/3BoCBuk.png

but how can I get even more splashes, so there's will be no liquid at all on the ground?
threshold of splashes is on 1, is more possible? or do I have to tweak another value?

        thanks for reply.

          Hey,

You need a lower threshold in order to get a higher splash birth. You should also make sure the 'Affect Liquid' option is at a maximum - only this way will the splash birth reduce the liquid amount.

          Cheers!
