  • objects must be 1 unit inside the grid ?

    Hi,
it`s probably designed this way but i have a plane generating smoke and it has to be at least 1 unit inside the grid to be active and generate. if it`s between the simbox edge and 1 unit it doesn`t generate anything. is this correct behaviour ?

edit: might be because it`s an old phoenix simbox ?

    edit 2: no, it`s because i have -z jammed

    thanks
    anthony

Yup You should generally refrain from using planes and open geometry in general. Phoenix works only with closed volumes, so if you have broken normals, open surfaces, overlapping faces, etc., Phoenix will try to handle it, but in the end you might end up with the simulation doing weird things.

    Cheers!
