  • Splitting PhoenixFD Render Elements

How would one go about splitting a render with these render elements like on this video example? I can't find any specific render elements for PhoenixFD, so i wonder how did you guys split the whitewater, wetmaps and other useful components of phoenixFD. For example, i want to split the foam / splashes / liquid / mist, so the compositors can have more control, but i don't want to render them separately so i don't lose the influences from the different components between one another.

    Hey,

Phoenix generally supports any V-Ray render elements, but for most of them you must render in Geometry mode, which is slower and doesn't support Approximate Scattering, so you should switch to it only when you need the RE and then switch back to the regular Volumetric mode for Grid or just switch Geometry mode off for particles.

    I hope this helps
