  • fire and realistic depth of field

    Hi,

I found this reference image from the internet; I was wondering if technically I can reach this level of realism with the current version of PhoenixFD?

I like the photo especially it's smooth curved shape and beautiful depth of field.

    Regards,

the depth of field is controlled by the renderer, not by phoenix, with vray you have no problem to achieve realistic depth of field

Yup, and also this kind of fire shape would likely be achievable by using more steps per frame and probably smooth conservation - the ready Fire Quick Setup preset on the toolbar is aimed for a bit larger things burning, so it has more noise and grain to it which should be battled using both the above options.
