  • gradient color on smoke

    hello

is it possible to color a smoke sim from blue (bottom) to red (top) for example?
    how to setup this?

if I create the thin smoke preset all inputs I make in the "volumetric render settings" are ignored.

can someone help me with this, please.

    thanks

    bes regards

    Hello

Of course this is possible, just select which channel to use for the shading of the Smoke color (except for Constant color, RGB, Texture) and adjust your gradient.

The thin smoke preset is using particles (which are not smoke in reality) and their color is controlled from the PHXFoam object.

For the particles unfortunately there is no way to make a gradient, but you can make a few sources with different colors or use a colored lighting to get a similar effect.
