  • bubbles in coffe

    Hey

Is it possible to controll the level of floating bubbles. Im trying to make realistic coffe and the bubbles are in real life only halv above the surface. In the sim they often go all the way up.

You see the problem ? And then there is the flickering.

Wow, looks like some bubbles are just disappearing. Do you have count multiplier or subgroup selected? if you have selected only the 'above liquid' group selected, this might be the cause for the flickering. I think this might also help the bubble level look more natural.

Also, be sure to get a latest nightly - a couple of days ago we fixed an issue where the bubbles' highlights were jittering in animation with many lights, area lights or dome light.

If these don't help, ping me and we'll figure it out

I have subgroup "all" selected and count multiplier 3. should I set count multiplier to 1 always for stable rendering ?

I´m waiting for nightly acces. My account was changed to acces only vray for blender for some reason?

I think Blender access is allowed by default for everyone. The 3.0 Phoenix nightlies are in a new location because they use a new license, so indeed you have to request access again - sorry for the inconvenience.

Regarding the flickering - you could try with count multiplier of 1 and see if it still flickers, and also you could try disabling "Optimize particle congestion".

          Cheers!
